UUM ONLINE: The SQS Project called the ‘ABRA-Maths-Early Mathematics Learning Via Mini Tennis’ recently won a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition and Symposium on Productivity, Innovation, Knowledge, Education, and Design (i-SPIKE2021).
i-SPIKE 2021 was organised by the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies (FSPPP), UiTM Kedah Branch Campus.
The goal of i-SPIKE 2021 was to promote innovation through a virtual competition with the theme ‘Leading Artificial Innovation in Knowledge, Education, and Design’.
In embracing the wave of Industry Revolution 4.0, i-SPiKE 2021 provided an avenue for the creation of a new generation of innovators and cutting-edge innovations at the intersections of collaboration, creativity, and enthusiasm.
The event featured junior and young inventors from schools and colleges, as well as local and foreign academicians and industries, showcasing their innovative products.
Meanwhile, the UUM SQS team created a video presentation to accompany its submission, highlighting the distinctiveness of its revolutionary solution. The UUM SQS team's design is the manifestation of ideas that are both forward-thinking and revolutionary, as well as having a practical application in the actual world. Accepted submissions were judged by professional juries from both the industry and academia.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahela Abdul Rahim (SQS) led the Gold-awarded project, which included other team members such as Prof. Dr. Haslinda Ibrahim (SQS) and two collaborators, Dr. Mohd Rahizam Abdul Rahim from the Faculty of Sports and Recreation Science, UiTM Shah Alam, and Dr. Syahrul Ridhwan Morazuki from the School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, UTM, Skudai, Johor. The project competed in category 1 – Science and Technology in the academic and professional group.
A total of 101 entries in various categories vied for the top spot.
