UUM RESEARCHERS PARTICIPATED IN THE 2nd EDUCATIONAL VISIT OF THE ERASMUS+ SDGs JOURNALISM REPORTING
UUM ONLINE: Cambodia - Five researchers from the School of Computing (SOC) and the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) recently attended the 2nd Erasmus+ Sustainable Development Goals Journalism Reporting (SDGsJR) Educational Visit at the National University of Battambang (NUBB).
This programme included researchers from eight universities in Europe and Asia, as well as a consulting firm comprised of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain; the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (LBUS), Romania; the National University of Battambang (NUBB), Cambodia; the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Cambodia; the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), China; Shenzhen Polytechnic, China; Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia; Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia and Novel Group, Luxembourg.
Prof. Dr. Huda Ibrahim, UUM's SDGsJR chief researcher, stated that the programme was aimed at evaluating the implementation and adjustment status of SDGsJR research projects between universities in Europe and Asia.
The six-day programme, according to her, also included activities such as project status presentations from each university involved, discussions about strategic implementation for the development of digital journalism programmes, visits to the Battambang media industry, and meetings with NUBB students involved in the project.
While the SDGsJR project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Oscar Rodil Marzabal of USC, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of project implementation, which includes Work packages 1 (Preparation), Work packages 2-4 (Development), Work package 5 (Quality Plan), Work package 6 (Dissemination and Exploitation), and Work package 7 (Dissemination and Exploitation) (Project Management).
At the event, the SDGsJR UUM researchers also presented proposals for digital courses and information technology management that support the project's sustainable development goals (SDGs).

PENYELIDIK UUM SERTAI 2nd EDUCATIONAL VISIT OF THE ERASMUS+ SDGs JOURNALISM REPORTING
UUM ONLINE: Kemboja - Lima penyelidik dari Pusat Pengajian Pengkomputeran (SOC) dan Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) telah menghadiri 2nd Educational Visit of The Erasmus+ Sustainable Development Goals Journalism Reporting (SDGsJR) di National University of Battambang (NUBB), baru-baru ini.
Program ini melibatkan penyelidik dari lapan universiti dari Eropah dan Asia serta satu syarikat perunding yang terdiri dari Universidade of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Sepanyol; Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (LBUS), Romania; National University of Battambang (NUBB), Kemboja; Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Kemboja; University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), China; Shenzhen Polytechnic, China; Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia; Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia dan Novel Group, Luxembourg.
Ketua penyelidik SDGsJR UUM, Prof. Dr. Huda Ibrahim berkata, program itu bertujuan menilai status pelaksanaan dan pelarasan bagi projek penyelidikan SDGsJR di antara pihak universiti di Eropah dan Asia.
Menurutnya, program selama enam hari itu juga meliputi aktiviti-aktiviti berkaitan pembentangan status projek dari setiap universiti yang terlibat, perbincangan berkenaan pelaksanaan secara strategik untuk pembangunan program kewartawanan secara digital, lawatan ke industri media di Battambang dan perjumpaan bersama pelajar NUBB yang terlibat dengan projek tersebut.
Manakala koordinator projek SDGsJR, Prof. Dr. Oscar Rodil Marzabal dari USC berpuas hati dengan perkembangan pelaksanaan projek yang merangkumi Work package 1 (Preparation), Work package 2-4 (Development), Work package 5 (Quality Plan), Work package 6 (Dissemination and Exploitation) dan Work package 7 (Project Management).
Dalam masa yang sama, pihak penyelidik SDGsJR UUM turut membentangkan cadangan berkenaan penawaran kursus digital dan pengurusan teknologi maklumat yang menyokong matlamat pembangunan mampan (SDG) bagi projek itu.
