UUM ONLINE: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is set to share its best practices in confronting the COVID-19 pandemic at a Chinese conference annually held called the China Annual Conference For International Education & Expo (CACIE) 2020 which will be held virtually for 7 days from 21 to 28 October.
It is an honour for Malaysia to be selected as the CACIE 2020 Guest Country. The opportunity to participate in the conference which has been organised since the year 2000, came as a result of the joint efforts made by various parties especially the Education Malaysia Section, Malaysian Embassy in Beijing.
In the main conference session which will take place on 21 October, at 3 pm, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani has been invited as one of the panellists for the forum entitled ‘Future of the Higher Education Globalization Challenges, Opportunities and Solutions’ along with a panel of presidents among the presidents of renowned universities in China.
The Vice Chancellor's participation as one of the panellists from Malaysia and UUM will indirectly increase the visibility of the Malaysian higher education brand in the eyes of the world. The conference has successfully attracted more than 3,000 international education communities from over 40 countries since its first organization.
CACIE is organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange. It involves several forum sessions with invited panellists as well as promotion sessions by universities from various countries.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, the CACIE 2020 forum session is set to take place online.
